  4. If I turn off my debit card, will pending transactions (transactions not posted) be blocked?

No, pending transactions will be processed if you turn off your debit card.

  5. Can I close my debit card account with Card Management?

No, you cannot close/permanently block the card. You do have the ability to decline all transactions on an open and active card.

  6. If I lose my debit card, can I request a new card with Card Management?

You will not be able to request a new card with Card Management. However, you can receive a new card instantly when you visit a Pegasus Bank branch. In addition, you may request a new debit card using Online and Mobile Banking secure messaging or by contacting the bank at 214-353-3000.

  7. How will I receive alerts?

Alerts will show up just like any other notifications you get on your mobile device. Alerts are available by email, text, and mobile push notifications. You can change your delivery method by adding or removing your email or phone in the Alerts section of Debit Card Controls. Push alerts can be enabled within your mobile device notification settings.

  8. Can I choose to receive only text alerts and not email alerts?

If you have both your cell phone and email address set up in "Select Delivery and Alerts" within Card Management, you will receive both a text and email alert. You can stop receiving alerts by changing your preferences within "Select Delivery and Alerts" section or by following the in-message opt-out instructions and text STOP to 454545. Message and data rates may apply.

  9. Will alerts be sent immediately after each transaction?

Yes, you will receive alerts within a few seconds of each transaction.

  10. Why are card transactions being blocked, but online transactions are going through?

When the card is set to INACTIVE in the app it means that all transactions and purchases will decline with the exception of recurring payments.

  11. Can I block recurring transactions from a merchant?

If your card is set to INACTIVE, all transactions and purchases except recurring payments will decline. However, you can specifically choose to decline recurring payments by toggling the Recurring Transaction Type control to BLOCKED.

  12. How long does it take to turn the card back on once it has been turned off in the app?

You can turn the card from "Card Active" to "Card Inactive" (the card inactive status is implied when the card is toggled from "Card Active" status) as frequently as you like. The setting change takes just a few seconds to activate.

  13. Does Card Management work with Apple Pay? If so, will the transactions be considered ecommerce or card not present transactions?

It depends upon the type of Apple Pay transaction performed. If you are using the card at a store POS reader, it's classified as an "In Store" transaction. If you are making an 'in-app' transaction, it's considered an "e-commerce" transaction.

  14. What is "Other" in the Transaction Controls list?

A rare or unusual transaction not classified as ATM, In Store, e-Commerce, Mail/Phone Order or Recurring is classified as Other.

  15. Can I add other cards not issued by Pegasus Bank into the Card Management app?

No, only Pegasus Bank debit cards can be entered and controlled within the Card Management app.

  16. When traveling, will I receive alerts in the time zone where I am traveling?

All alerts will have a Central Daylight time (CDT) time stamp even if you are traveling in a different time zone.
